The usage of so-called single-use products reflects a strong trend in the pharmaceutical industry, which has many advantages for the end users. For instance, the costly cleaning and also sterilization process can be skipped, which is often a risky process step and involves the danger of cross contamination.

But even when it comes to multi-use products, components made of plastic have also some significant advantages. They allow some serious weight savings compared to components made of glass, which often weight its multiple. Also, components made of plastic are commonly much less expensive than their glass equivalents.

For example, our ergonomic SECUREgrasp® bottles, which are available as a gamma sterilized version with certified SAL 10^-6. These bottles have an optimized design and also a fantastic handling due to their molded finger grips and the large surface closure. The wide bottom assures a secure stand and protect from costly product loss due to overturned bottles. Additionally, these bottles can be combined with the Autofil® equipment, which allows to quickly and also easily use them for filtration applications.
