Reinforced PFA Tubing CIP/SIP

The reinforced PFA tubing is a patented tubing, which was developed especially for highly demanding applications. The reinforced tubing combines the properties and advantages of the materials PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy) and platinum cured silicon within one single tubing. It offers an inner layer made of PFA, which is nearly completely gas impermeable. At the same time it has a high temperature resistance and great flexibility due to its silicone proportion.

The reinforced PFA tubing is particularly suitable for Steam-in-Place and Clean-in-Place processes!

Description

Information about the Reinforced PFA Tubing CIP/SIP

The reinforced PFA tubing consists of a smooth, highly pure inner layer, which is made of perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) and is nearly gas impermeable. The tubing has a reinforcement made of braided synthetic cord and an embedded stainless steel helix wire. These two reinforcements ensure that the tubing has an excellent pressure rating and is also suitable for vacuum applications. The outer layer of the tubing consists of platinum cured silicone, which gives its flexibility and heat stability.

All these properties make sure that the PFA tubing is the first choice especially for Clean-in-Place and also Steam-in-Place applications!

Besides CIP / SIP applications, the PFA tubing is also excellent for the transfer of high purity products. This can be done by either overpressure or vacuum. Due to its versatility, the reinforced PFA tubing is being used in the pharmaceutical- and also biotechnological industry, but also in cosmetic-, food- and beverage processes.

The used tubing materials are extensively tested and also certified. All product contact surfaces are free of animal derived components and compliant to the requirements of UPS Class VI and the FDA. The PFA inner layer is completely taste- and also odorless, which prevents unwanted effects on the final product.

Due to its flexibility and low bending radius, the tubing can perfectly be used in combination with existing systems and vessels. In such setups it could be used as a transfer element or compensate distances between fixed equipment.
