Coriolis Single-Use Sensors

SUMOFLO® Coriolis single-use sensors made by the manufacturer Malema are very robust single-use elements, which are typically used in assemblies. They can be delivered gamma sterilized, non-sterilized, with sterile connectors or assembled in ready-to-use systems. SUMOFLO® sensors are the only available single-use sensors that offer highly precise flow rate measurement using the Coriolis effect.

Description

Coriolis Single-Use Sensors and other Types of Flow Sensors

The GMPTEC portfolio offers you the ideally suited sensor for every application. Depending on your requirements, GMPTEC offers very precise Coriolis sensors, multiple ultrasonic sensors, vortex flow sensors and also rotary flow sensors. In addition to the SUMOFLO® Coriolis single-use sensors we also offer multi-use measurement devices made by Malema. This wide range of different sensors allows you to choose the perfect solution for every process! The most important parameter for choosing the right flow sensor are volume, precision, price, purpose and also required connections.

SUMOFLO® Coriolis Single-Use Sensors

Mass flow measurements by Coriolis sensors are usually required when a high precisely measurement of the flow rate is mandatory. Especially sensible processes like downstream in biotechnological production require a tight measuring tolerance of 1-2% in sub applications, which can only be achieved by Coriolis measuring devices.

Applications are for example:

  • Cross-Flow Filtration
  • Depth Filtration
  • Chromatography
  • Liquid Purification
  • And also Changing Viscosities

The SUMOFLO® Coriolis single-use sensors are made of PEEK and are resistant against gamma irradiation. All parts within the fluid path are conform to USP class VI, USP 661 and also USP 788 standards.

The sensors are available in different sizes and also with Tri-Clamp or hose barb connections.

The flow rate is being measured by two sensible flow elements which start to vibrate. This measuring method is based on Coriolis effect. With this measurement method, the result won’t be affected by flow turbulences, viscosity or also chemical composition.

SUMOFLO® Sensors are compliant to:

  • USP Class VI
  • USP 661
  • USP 788
  • CE Conformity
  • FDA
  • RoHS
  • Gamma Irradiation Resistant
