About the CELLGTEC Shell
The CELLGTEC Shell is manufactured of high-quality materials, such as stainless steel and aluminum for a maximum safety and durability. The cassette is designed for use at extreme freezing temperatures, making it ideal for cold storage of vaccines and other sensitive liquid pharmaceutical drug substances.
Compared to the disposable cassettes currently available on the market, the CELLGTEC shell can be used multiple times, which saves costs and is more environmentally friendly. Another advantage is that there is no need for additional foam inserts, which ensures greater purity and facilitates cleaning. The smooth surfaces and components allow for easy cleaning, making it ideal for use in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environments.
A distinctive feature of the CELLGTEC Shell is the secure fixation of bags and tubing. Integrated form elements prevent damage through movement and vibration. And specially designed internal contours ensure that tubes and connectors remain safely in place and don’t get damaged, even at low temperatures.
The GMP compliant CELLGTEC Shell is suitable for use in highly regulated environments in the pharmaceutical industry. It is manufactured of only metal materials to ensure durability and reliability.
Another unique feature of the CELLGTEC Shell is its ability to safely fit larger sterile connectors such as CPC Aseptiquiks. The cassette supports a variety of bag sizes, ranging from 5 ml up to 2 liters, including intermediate sizes such as 50 ml, 100 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml, and 1 Liter. Each cassette is custom designed for the customer’s specific bag and connections. This ensures optimal fit and functionality.
The CELLGTEC Shell is available in a variety of materials including aluminum, stainless steel and electropolished stainless steel. It can be sealed and laser marked with individual QR codes or part numbers. A flat design allows it to be used in regular freezers but also plate freezers.
To improve air circulation and freezing efficiency, the cassette housings are available with slotted holes. On the other hand, closed housings with no holes are available, too. These cassette type prevent, for example, that dry ice granulate is getting inside the cassette.
