Information about the Bubble Detector
A Bubble Detector is being used in every process, where it needs to be assured, that the inflow is uninterrupted and without any unwanted air or gas bubbles. For example, this is the case in the final step of production, the fill & finish, but also in earlier steps like the sterile filtration. Besides the detection of gas and air bubbles, the sensors can also detect the development of foam.
The measuring method is non-invasive and functions through the tubing wall. The sensor has no direct contact to the medium, which prevents a potential risk of contamination or leakages. So, the tubing can easily be inserted into the sensor, without any additional tools or mounting device.
Bubble detectors are suitable for all mediums that are similar to water, have little viscose properties and also include no or only few solids. All clear tubing materials, like silicone, TPE or PVC, can be used for this type of sensor. You can even use this sensor for tubing with an additional braided reinforcement.
The bubble detector also functions as a full- or empty-detector besides the regular monitoring of a medium for bubbles.
Some kinds of bubble detectors are optionally available with an ATEX-certificate. Those are suitable for the use in potentially explosive areas.
