What do the founders of McDonald’s and the planning of a modern cleanroom have in common?
In the 1940s, the McDonald brothers famously drew their kitchen layout on a tennis court with chalk and simulated workflows with their employees. By continuously refining movements, processes and equipment placement, they created the foundation for what would later revolutionize the restaurant industry worldwide.
Today, this principle is known as Lean Management. At GMPTEC GmbH, we are currently applying a similar mindset while planning our new 130 m² cleanroom. Instead of chalk, we use CAD software, digital layouts and 3D-printed models to optimize equipment placement, material flows and operational processes before construction is completed.
Different tools. Same objective: Design processes that are efficient, scalable and built for the future.
The best solutions are often created long before the first production run starts.
